UtherAcademy Educators in the Department of Arts & Entertainment along with UtherAcademy and the Utherverse Ambassadors are coming together to present an amazing event for the creative writers of Utherverse!
This event will comprise of 2 sections, a Writers Convention followed up by a Short Story Competition. While both secitons are created to work hand in hand, it is not mandatory to participate in both.
SHORT STORY COMPETITION
Monday April 29 - UA is open for story submissions
Monday May 6 - Submissions due by 5:00pm PST
Sunday May 19 - People's Choice judging open
Wednesday May 22 - Award Banquet 3:00 pm PST
Short Story Competition Rules and Regulations
In order to qualify for this writing contest, all participants must abide by the following rules and guidelines. Please pay close attention to these rules. We will only judge stories that meet our criteria and we do not issue refunds. If you have not partaken in the Writers Workshop, there is a 100R submission fee per manuscript application. We want to read your stories so we strongly encourage you to double check your adherence to our rules and regulations. All Rules, Regulations, Judging criteria and Award structure can be found HERE. *NOTE* For Basic members wishing to participate, you may submit your Rays through the Department of Arts & Entertainment Course Registration Course #96 Short Story Competition Manuscript Submissions and email your submission after completing that "Registration"

To enroll in the Workshop, please visit the Department of Arts & Entertainment Course Registration Note that Registration deadline is Thursday April 18th 11:59 pm PST so don't delay!
Registration fees cover the entire Workshop and all sessions available. Registration fees also cover the entry fee of one manuscript sumbission for the Short Story Competition.
**PLEASE NOTE** The registration fee (150R/student) for this Workshop are at a discounted rate from regular Course tuition fees to allow as many students as possible to take advantage of this incredible event!!
Drop in Students will be welcome and a Cover Charge will be implimented for each class session. However please keep in mind that these drop in fees will NOT cover the fee of the Short Story Competiton manuscript submissions and space will be limited. It is mandatory to Register prior to the Registration Deadline of April 18th in order to take full advantage of the discounted workshop rates and included manuscript submission fees!! Refunds will not be available through the Academy.
